Reinforce Your Doors and Windows to Be Safer from Burglary
July 14, 2014Pennsylvania just like any other area is no stranger to crimes of all kinds. The police and other government entities are working 24/7 for safer neighborhoods. However, you’ll need to do your part in protecting yourself from crimes by ensuring that your household is safe–through security reinforcement. This is because criminals these days can just come up in front of your house and break in. An example of this incident as reported by Lehigh Valley Live online:
An Allentown man came home to his apartment on Linden Street Saturday night and found a burglar in his living room, police said.
The man told police the burglar, later identified as Purnell Hatcher, pulled a knife before running away, and the victim ran after Hatcher as he called 911, records say.
The victim identified Hatcher as the burglar, police said.
Police said there was evidence of forced entry at the victim’s front door and the drawers inside the house had been rummaged.
If those people of bad intentions didn’t have any sense, they would have easily destroyed those windows to gain entry. Your doors and windows in Allentown are one of the most vulnerable components of your home and criminals use them to spy on the residents inside the house. Therefore, reinforcing these parts will surely provide your household better security.
