Renewal by Andersen® of Northeast PA installs only quality Andersen® Frenchwood®, sliding or gliding patio doors in our replacement projects. That’s because these carefully-crafted doors make a beautiful transition to the outdoors and an impressive view from the inside, while offering exceptional energy efficiency and weather resistance. Combine Andersen patio doors with Renewal by Andersen windows and your home will never be the same again.
After installation, proper maintenance of your Andersen patio doors will maintain a long life, smooth operation and maximum warranty coverage. Simply follow these care and maintenance guidelines.
Interior wood surfaces must be finished to prevent bowing, splitting and discoloration of the wood. A mild soap-and-water solution and a soft brush or cloth should be used to clean the exterior frame, panels and screens. Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning solutions. For hard-to-clean stains, use a nonabrasive cleaner, or a solution of water and alcohol or ammonia.
Dirt and grime should be removed with a mild soap-and-water solution and a soft cloth or brush. Insect screens can be cleaned with soapy water and a garden hose. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on any Andersen patio door material.
To keep the track operating smoothly, use a vacuum to clean inside the tracks where the gliding patio door and screen slide. Do not use lubricants on the track itself; this will cause the rollers to slide, not roll.
Wash hardware using a mild soap-and-water solution and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, cloths or brushes that could damage the clear coat that protects the finish. A non-abrasive paste wax, used as directed, will protect and restore luster to hardware.
